OOPS! I Did It Again

This post is probably not going to make any sense at all.

I have a horrible shopping weakness. I hate shopping, but once I get there I always find something I have to have. Today I went to Circuit City for my photo printer ink, which they don't carry at Target, and have a limited supply of at Staples, so I thought I'd go to the place where I got the printer since they would have it, right? Wrong. So I started checking out the laptops, DVDs and CDs.

I ended up buying three CD's, which is like totally WRONG. The last time I bought a new CD was over a year ago when I bought Stevie Nicks. Now I can listen to THIS, THIS, or when I've had too much wine and needing some good dance music - THIS.

Oh well, it could've been much worse. At least I didn't buy the laptop.

EDITED FOR SARA: Remember the video for November Rain, and how we were going to have a wedding dress that was short in the front and long in the back? Misty had a prom dress like that, and it was pink. Super Cool.

Also, I had the yellow Billie Jean shirt, and Kevin had the black Beat It shirt. The Easter Bunny brought them for us! Ah, the good old days before Jackson went wacko.

A Workout from Hell

I've been slacking, I'll admit it. But I've been so TIRED. Last night, I finally decide to get off my rear & exercise already.

I managed to get in about 3 minutes of exercise uninterrupted. After that, Max became Super Max by using Tessa's Precious Moment's blankie as a cape, and Tessa became Super Kitty by using one of her 10 pink blankies she has. For the next 27 minutes they proceeded to run around me screaming and meowing while Terry watched a movie.

And that's my excuse for not exercising more.

Tomorrow, I'm Bringing a Pillow

GAWD. I am SO. FREAKING. TIRED. I told Angela that if I pass out from exhaustion, please just let me lay there for an hour or four. NO, I'm not pregnant. If I were, I'd swear I was having a boy because I'm almost comatose right now & that's the way I was with Max.

The doc has switched my meds, and the side effects of both of them are drowsiness & dizziness. Just what I need, eh? More dizziness than what comes very naturally to me. Good news though, these are only short term side effects and in another week I should be not-so-tired.

I'm totally going to bed at 7:00 tonight. My Super-Duper Crock-Pot dinner will be ready when I get home, which will give me some play time with the kiddos before Daddy has to take over so Momma can get some rest.

Random Tessaness

1. Saturday morning we are supposed to see Beauty and The Beast on Ice. This morning the local TV station was visiting with the characters so I thought Tessa would like to watch it while we got ready for the day. She started screaming bloody murder when she saw Luminiere, "I scared, I scared!" she screamed. She immediately collapsed on the floor and hid her face, screaming the whole time. If it scared her that much on our 13" bedroom TV, I can't imagine how she will react to the huge characters in person. This should be fun.

2. When I got back from my lunch today, I found a booklet that the ladies had made when Tessa was born. It had some digital pics they took when they visited us at the hospital. Of course, Tessa was screaming her round, red, fat head off in most of the pictures. I can't believe how much she's changed (except for the screaming) in the past 2 1/2 years. I also can't believe how freaking fat my arms were.

Crazy Bitches

Sista Sara, Sista Kara & I decided we needed a night out on the town, since we're all suffering from self-diagnosed Seasonal Affective Disorder. We headed over to Hacienda for a couple of Margaritas last Saturday night, and I have to say it was a blast. Well, for the 2 1/2 hours we were actually OUT. I'm going to blame Sara, since she was still recovering from a sinus infection or something, and she was driving. Yeah, that's why we were home at 8:30.

Oh, Sista Sara is on the left, and Sista Kara is on the right. They aren't actually my sisters, but sister-in-laws. Since I only have one sister Kevin (just kidding), Since I don't have any sisters, I thank the Lord that I have Sister-In-Laws that are COOL AS SHIT. Even if we don't party anymore.

Proud Momma

I had Max's Pre-K conference this morning. Those things make me a big nervous, like he turns super evil at Preschool when he's almost always a good (but sometimes whiney) kid at home. His teacher, Miss Tammy, said I should be very proud of him. He's a good student, and his biggest problem is talking in class. I wonder where he gets that? I totally talked to Laurie ALL.THE.TIME in Mrs. Thompson's Typing II class.

Miss Tammy said Max was one of the few who knew all his colors & shapes. Shit, Tessa knows most of her colors & shapes, and she's TWO. Max helped teach her. We still need to work on his neatness in coloring & cutting, but I'm afraid he gets that from me too. Always in a rush to finish.

Anyhoo, it was a nice start to my week. Who doesn't like to hear how great their kid is?

Last Political Post, at Least Until Tax Time Comes

I can't help but laugh my ass off at Inauguration Nation.

I Wish We Had Cable

Max had a Mystery Fever yesterday, so I got to stay home from work to take care of my - not acting sick but running a 102 fever - child. I was a bit excited, because I haven't seen Ellen since the Blizzard of 2004. Wouldn't you know, there was no Ellen, no Days of Our Lives, no Passions, just the Inaugeration. Yee-fricking-Haw. I did enjoy the part where they started talking about who would be running for president in 2008. Just say NO Jeb, JUST SAY NO. Please.

Trying Like Mad Not To Fall Off The Wagon.....

I'm not doing as good this week. I didn't exercise Monday OR yesterday, but I promise I will tonight! Does it count as exercise if you squeeze your buttcheeks together when you're tanning????

I broke a belt loop on my jeans this morning, trying to pull them up. Talk about feeling like a fatso. Drink another non-diet Coke dummy.

This has been my first full week back to work after 3 short weeks due to the Holidays, and I am SO ready for this weekend. We don't have big plans, so we'll probably just rent movies or something equally lame.

Update on my resolutions, I'm doing OK. Like .Sista Sara, I'm not drinking as much water as I'd like too. Shock of the Century, I have exercised 4 days this week! I have to say that I like this a lot more than I thought I would, and it's relatively easy. Now, if I can just find the time to do it everyday I will be on a roll! With kids underfoot, it can be hard.

Resolutions 2005

So I usually don't do the Resolution thing, because it just sets me up to fail at something. This year is different, because now that I'm 30 I am a grown-up, right? So I'm going to Resolve to do the following in 2005.

1. Drink more water.
2. Lose some weight/eat healthier. I don't do DIETS.
3. Exercise.

Two weeks into the new year, and I'm still hanging in there.
